Meet the Doctor

The key to health begins with a properly functioning nervous system.

As the daughter of a chemist, Dr. Michelle Fehmel was taught at an early age how to avoid all kinds of chemicals (dyes/preservatives in foods, medications, etc.) because of their far reaching deleterious effects on the body. She soon developed an interest in proper nutrition and exercise. However, even with her many efforts to stay healthy, Dr. Michelle suffered multiple bouts of bronchitis and pneumonia as a child.” This is when my mother brought me to a Chiropractor. After my first adjustment, I immediately noticed that I could breathe better. Over several months of care, I wasn’t getting the upper respiratory infections anymore.” Without the nerve interference, my immune system and body were finally working the way they were designed to, and continue to, to this day.

Dr. Michelle Fehmel (pronounced fay’-mal) received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston College, becoming a member of the Psychology National Honor Society. She then attended New York Chiropractic College graduating cum laude with her Doctorate of Chiropractic, becoming Board Certified.

Dr. Michelle began her career by working in a Maximized Living Office, treating literally thousands of patients over the years, from infants to athletes to geriatric patients. She was featured in the South Magazine: “The South’s Finest Doctors” Issue Dec./Jan. 2011.

She has extensively trained all over the country with some of the greatest doctors in her profession. In addition to advanced nutritional training, Dr. Michelle has taken numerous advanced spinal corrective training courses in the Pettibon technique, with the Clear Institute, in A.R.T. (active release soft tissue technique). She continues to practice state-of-the-art spinal corrective and rehabilitative techniques. These techniques involve specific corrective adjustments, and specialized rehabilitative equipment. Her patients are also given home care instructions so that they have the opportunity to achieve their results much more quickly.

Most recently, she received her Functional Medicine Certification in 2019. There is such an advantage to seeing what’s actually going on with the body with advanced lab testing. She can check the body’s functions through GI tests, Nutrient Deficiency Testing, Food Sensitivity Testing, and many more. Functional Medicine is extraordinarily thorough, and further helps patients expand their health potential through the use of diet, detoxification, lifestyle and supplemental protocols.

Her treatment plans help the body essentially work the way it was designed to, causing patients to feel happier, healthier, and more alive – often very shortly after beginning treatment.
